FAQ
What is YouPoC?
YouPoC is a converged mobile cellular and two way radio communications service designed to keep you connected and in touch with the groups of people that are key to you and your activities, whether they are your mobile workforce, your colleagues, your team, your suppliers, your customers or your friends and family.
I have a mobile already – How is YouPoC different?
If you have got something to say, just say it once with YouPoC.
Keeping everyone up to speed in real time, in an increasingly mobile world is a challenge. A traditional mobile gives you one to one calling, but adding the YouPoC service to your mobile provides you with one to many group communications at the simple push of a button, allowing you to speak to everyone who needs to know, as a group, instantly. There is no need to set up a conference bridge for everyone to dial into and no need to make several consecutive calls to multiple individuals to convey the same message and status update, saving you time and effort.
Group communications with YouPoC is easy and highly flexible. You can predefine the talk groups in your device, or preplan them on the Internet and download them over the air to your device; or simply create ad hoc groups as you need them, by selecting the required individuals from your contact list, so that those who need to hear your communication do.
I am already a two way radio user with group communications, so why should I consider YouPoC?
If you are a two way radio user, then of course you will already be aware of the key benefits two way radio can bring. However you will also no doubt be aware that to-date there has been a lack of seamless coverage and access to two way radio services in the places that you go and want to operate. Reach the edge of your two way radio infrastructure coverage and move outside of it you then have to switch to and rely on another communications service to stay in touch, such as a mobile GSM phone. The results are you lose those key two way radio group functionality benefits where there is no system infrastructure and you also have the inconvenience of having to carry two communications devices.
YouPoC can offer you a solution to both these issues.
